Using Audio and Visual Editing Suites at Arnhold Hall

Arnhold Hall offers a variety of specialized suites designed to meet the needs of our students and faculty. These suites are equipped with a range of tools and software, but please note that Arnhold Hall staff members do not provide formal training on how to use these tools. If you need assistance or specific guidance on how to use the equipment or software, please refer to the relevant articles below for detailed instructions, or reach out to your faculty for additional support.


Suite Types Available:

  1. Video Editing Suites

    • Adobe Premiere Video Editing: A suite equipped with Adobe Premiere software for video editing. Please refer to the Adobe Premiere Video Editing FAQ for more details on how to use the software and troubleshoot common issues.

    • Avid Video Editing: Another professional video editing suite featuring Avid software. For specific help and troubleshooting, see the Avid Video Editing FAQ.

  2. Audio Editing Suites

    • The audio suites provide equipment and software for audio recording and editing. Information on available tools and setup is included in the Audio FAQ.

  3. Reservation Information

    • All suites at Arnold Hall must be checked out as a walk-in at the Arnhold Hall reception desk or reserved in advance via reservation.newschool.edu.  Detailed instructions on how to reserve a suite are available in the Suite Reservation FAQ. This article also contains information about available workflows and how to get assistance with using the suites.

Important Note on Training:

While Arnhold Hall provides a variety of suites and tools, IT staff at the Arnhold Hall reception desk do not provide  training on how to use these resources. Additionally, IT and Arnhold Hall reception desk staff cannot provide audio engineering or record producer services. If you need further assistance or clarification, please reach out to your faculty for additional guidance. For more detailed support on using specific tools or software, refer to the corresponding FAQ articles above. These resources are designed to help you navigate the features and functionalities of the suites, and contain troubleshooting tips for common issues. In addition, each suite contains a sign outside of each room indicating the expected skill  level expected for each suite.
