Secure Printing allows you to print a document to the printer, but not have it actually be printed until you “release” it at the printer. This can be useful when printing documents with confidential or sensitive information that you do not want left sitting at the printer or if the printer is not in close proximity to your office or workspace.
Secure Print for Windows
1. From a Windows application such as Microsoft Word, click the "File" menu, and then select the "Print" option
2. Click the "Printer Properties" button
3. You will then see the Konica dialogue screen. Under the My Tab, click on "User Settings"
4. Choose the Secure print id and password and click "OK"
5. Click on the "Basic" tab and select the option "Secure Print" from the drop-down and click "OK" and then Print the document
6. When you are at the copier machine, push the button User-Box on the copier machine and enter the document ID and password and then press Start
Secure Print for Mac
1. Go to File > Print...
2. Open the Printer Properties window (if it doesn't open automatically)
3. From the drop down menu from the middle of the window click "Output Method"
4. From the drop-down menu under the heading Output Method click "Secure Print"
5. Create a Secure Print ID and Password (remember these credentials for later) and once you have entered an ID and password, click OK
6. Click "Print"
7. At the printer, log in using your PIN or with Public User Access
8. Press the User Box button (middle button directly below the screen)
9. Press the System User Box tab
10. Press the Secure Document User Box button
11. Press Use/File
12. Enter your Secure Print ID and press OK
13. Enter your password and press OK
14. Press the job(s) you want to print (it will highlight green when selected) and then press Print
15. Select any settings for the print job and press the blue Start button
