Google Hangouts is a chat or instant message service provided by Google. Use this guide to learn how to use Google Hangouts via your New School Gmail account.
Google Hangouts is also available for Android and iOS devices.
1. Log in to your New School email account
Go to mail.newschool.edu to log in to your New School email account with your NetID and password.
2. Click on the Hangouts icon at the bottom left of the screen
3. Click on the + and search for name(s) to begin chat
You can start group chats by clicking on "New group" and adding more than one name to the chat.
4. Chat by typing in the message window at the bottom right of the screen
You can also start a video call by clicking on the video icon in the chat box.
