How to Look Up NetID

If you do not know or forgot your NetID or username you can look it up in the New School account portal. 

Please note that you must first Claim your New School Account in order to look up your account information. 

1. Go to account.newschool.edu

2. Click the Forgot Username link

   

3. Enter your recovery email address and date of birth (MM/DD/YYYY)

   • If you did not directly set up a recovery email, please enter the official personal email address we have on file

     

   • If you receive an error, it means that you have not entered the recovery information we have associated with your account. Please double check the recovery email address entered. If you require further assistance, please contact IT Central. 

4. You will be sent an email to the recovery email with an authorization PIN. Enter the PIN when prompted and click Verify.

   

5. Authenticate with the Duo multi-factor authentication connected to your account.

6. You will then be shown your NetID information.
