How to Connect your Windows PC to a Network Drive

Learn how to connect your Windows PC to a Network Drive. 

If using a TNS device, the S: drives should be mapped automatically. 

 

To connect your Windows PC to a personal device, use the 


1. Connect to FortiClient VPN if off campus

2. Open File Explorer

3. Select "This PC" from the left sidebar

4. Right-click "This PC" then select "Map Network Drive"

5. Select "S:" as the drive letter

6. Enter the folder path: \\tnsfiles.tns.newschool.edu\shares\

7. Check "Connect using different credentials"

You will need to use NetID and password for connecting to network share drives.

It is also recommended to uncheck "Reconnect at sign-in", but not necessary.  

8. Enter "tns\" then your NetID in username field (username) and enter your password

(Example user name tns\smithr)
