To access Microsoft Office, you'll need to log in with your New School NetID email address and New School password, and follow the multi-factor authentication steps.
Logging in to Office 365 and installing
- Go to https://www.office.com/
- In the page, click Sign in

- Enter your New School NetID email and click Next.

- Enter your New School password and click Sign in.

- Click Continue when prompted for verification.
Notice to Phone Call and Text Users Starting January 5, 2026,
Phone call and text message authentication options will no longer be available. Please use this portal to set up the Duo mobile app on your authentication device immediately to ensure that your access to New School services is uninterrupted. If your device does not support Duo mobile, please reach out to IT Central at itcentral@newschool.edu.
- You will be redirected to the New School Duo prompt screen.
- Once redirected, you will be prompted to verify your identity with the default method you set up with Duo multi-factor when you claimed your New School account.
- On your authentication device, confirm that it is you who is trying to log into Microsoft Office 365.
- If you are using Duo Push, you will receive a notification on your mobile device asking if you are trying to log into "Azure SSO Applications - EAM".


- Click Apps in the bottom-left corner.
- Click All apps.

- In the top-right corner, click Install apps.
- Select Microsoft 365 apps.

- Click Apps & devices, then click Install Office.

- After you click Install Office, a setup file will download. Open the file, then follow the on-screen prompts to install Microsoft 365.
