How to Reset Your Password

Learn how to reset your password if you have forgotten your New School password or if your New School password is expired.

  1. Go to https://account.newschool.edu
  2. Click on the second option, "Reset Your Password"
  3. Enter your NetID (username) and click "Continue."
    • Your NetID is the first part of your New School email, NOT your N-number.
  4. You will be redirected to our Account Management Portal.
  5. Verify your New School ID Number.
    • If prompted to enter your date of birth please enter it in the MM/DD/YYYY format including slashes (/). For example if you are born January 2nd, 1989 you should input it as 01/02/1989.
  6. Authenticate with your Duo Push. 
    • If you do not have Duo Mobile set up, you will be asked to perform a first time setup on a mobile device.
  7. You will be asked to create a new password.
  8. Make sure the new password meets the password rules (on the right-hand side)
  9. Confirm and click "Submit."

Password Change/Reset
The password change/reset feature allows you to update your New School password. You can reset your password if you no longer remember it. You must change your password every six months as required by The New School security policy.
