New School Single Sign-On

Overview

Single Sign-On (SSO) makes it possible for you to login once and access commonly used web-based applications. To ensure security, the university requires Duo multi-factor authentication as a secondary verification step.

Available To

  • Degree or Summer Intensive Students
  • Continuing and Professional Education Students
  • Faculty
  • Staff
  • Alumni

Getting Started

Sign in to any New School site like New School Mail, MyNewSchool or MyDay with your NetID or Full (NetID@newschool.edu) email address and Password depending on the site.

Starting in mid-May and throughout the remainder of 2026, the university will be transitioning all services requiring SSO login to a new log in experience. During this period, the current log in process and the new log in process will run in tandem as systems are gradually updated. As a result, you may encounter different log in screens depending on the service you are accessing, and you may be asked to sign in using either your NetID or your full New School (NetID@newschool.edu) email address. Your full email address will become the authentication standard across all university systems with SSO when the transition is completed.

Additional Info

  • If you completely exit the browser, all your single sign-on information will be forgotten and you’ll have to sign in again with your either your NetID or Full NetID (NetID@newschool.edu) email address and password depending on the site

  • If you sign in using one browser, and then start up a different browser, the second browser will not know that you’re signed in (because browsers don’t share information), so you’ll have to sign in again with your user name and password.
