Overview

If you are returning New School IT-issued laptops, computers, or other related technology items, please complete this form. This ensures we can coordinate the return process, provide appropriate shipping materials, and track all returned assets accurately.

Assets may include laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, docking stations, keyboards, chargers, and other peripherals.

A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is appreciated to arrange shipping labels or drop-off coordination.

Available To

Faculty, staff, and students of The New School who are returning IT-issued equipment due to replacement, departure, repair needs, or other reasons.

Getting Started

To return an IT asset, click the Return Asset button at the top of this page and complete the request form. You will be asked for contact information, the type of asset, and how you plan to return it. Once submitted, IT Central will follow up with instructions.

If you select FedEx shipping, The New School will send you a prepaid shipping label and materials.
If you plan to drop off your item, you will be instructed where and how to do so.

Additional Info

  • Back up all personal files before returning the device, and all data will be wiped upon receipt. IT Central is not responsible for lost data.
  • Please include all accessories originally issued with the device (e.g., charger, dock, bag, etc.).
  • Devices returned for repair will be assessed upon arrival.
  • Unreturned assets may be flagged for follow-up or result in account holds.
